My experience with blogs.

1. What is your opinion about using blogs to teach "writing" in EFL classrooms?

I think that blogs are very useful for teaching writing in EFL classrooms. I believe that teachers have to include the technology in their classes. It is better if the technology is used in a creative and interesting way. Blogs are very funny and I am sure that the students will be enjoy work on them. Blogs help the students to learn and practice the contents and the teachers teach in an original way.

2. Do you like working using blogs?

This is the first time that I work in a blog and I really enjoy it. It is a very funny activity and the most important thing is that I write many texts and practice a lot. I have to create stories, give opinions and many interesting things. I believe that it is an original way for improving my writing. I like too much work on blogs.

3. What are some of the advantages of using blogs ?

One advantage is that students have a constant work because the teacher is always reviewing the blog, so they have to do their homeworks. The other advantage is that students enjoy too much work in blogs because is very original and dynamic method.
They have to use their creativity and work every class for get a good grade. And the last advantage for me is that there are a connection between classmates because of everyone can visit her or his classmate`s blogs and comment what he or she read.

4. What are some of the disadvantages?

One disadventage for me could be that blogs cannot be used for all subjects because of there are some of them in wich you cannot teach by a blog, for example maths.

5. Do you plan to use blogs in the future?Do you have any suggestions to improve these "lab sessions"? or was everything all right?

If I work as a teacher in the future I have plan to use blogs in my classes because of I really like this method for teaching.
I think that these lab session were really good, I do not have any suggestion because of I know that you did your best and all blog sessions were incredible.
Congratulations Miss Sandra this semester was really dynimic and I had a fun time working in my blog. I think that work in my blog help me to improve my writing. I hope that you enjoy to read my works.

Why is Writing important for an EFL teacher ?What is the best way to teach writing to children? to teenagers?

For an EFL teacher there are three important points that they need to know. One of them is listening, the other is reading and the last one is writing.

All of them are essential for a teacher. Writing is important because it is very useful for communicating with people in a formal way. For examle if you want to send an application to your boss or the main of a school you have to write in a formal way and it t is not easy. EFL teachers must teach their students the correct way for writting formal papers because informal way is not so difficult like the other one.

David Martin says in this page that ...

" The most effective way in which we, as EFL writing teachers, can help our students to be better writers is by:
1. helping them get rid of negative attitudes towards writing through the freewriting process.
2. giving them feasible writing assignments, complete with specific instructions.
3. giving specific feedback and correction in writing conferences, or in written form.
If these three suggestions are followed, combined with the teacher's patience and care, then "writing that can be postponed, won't be."

The strange pizza!

I am a genius with a pizza. Nobody can make a pizza like me.
I'm only twelve, but I've been working on my recipe for seven years to get everything just right. I call it my Killer Pizza.
My dad got me started. Our first floor is the only pizza shop in town. That is, until that strange Wanda Powers opened another pizza place right next door! If you ask me, she wouldn't know a real Italian cheese if she tripped over it. But people keep going there, instead of our place. Something wierd is going on.
That's why I challenged her to a duel. A pizza-making duel. Right in our house, in front of TV cameras. The whole town would be watching.
The big night came. The lights came on, the cameras started. I was nervous, of course, but I know my stuffed crust. I looked over at Wanda. She was making a mess. When I was getting my dough ready to toss, she was hitting hers with some kind of weird, thin spoon. I grabbed my dough and spun it up into the air. Just as it was about to come down, I thought I heard Wanda whispering, "Ura Killa Pizza," and this sparkly light hit my dough.
I was so surprised, I did something I hadn't done since I was five. I missed the catch. The dough hit the counter with a SMACK! The people watching all gasped. Wanda laughed.
"No problem, folks," I said, trying to smile like nothing happened. I reached down.
The dough bit me! I jumped back and shouted. The dough opened what might have been a mouth with sharp little teeth and growled. Then it balled itself up and with a mighty spring, leapt straight at me.

Suddenly something strange happened, I had magic. I was very excited, so I continued participating in the contest. I worked very fast and nobody notice that I acquired magic. It was new for me. At the beggining it was difficut to control my magic but then I cooked the most big and delicious pizza that someone never in the life had seen. All people ate my delicious pizza and they decided that I had to win.

The opponent was very sad and angry because he also used his magic and he could not win.

It was because I used good magic without any bad purpose and he used it for bad things. I was very happy because the contest made popular our restorant again.
